The Live Well Benefits & Wellness Fair is an annual event that promotes awareness of all aspects of wellness, including the six pillars of the City of Durham’s wellness program: Physical, Emotional, Financial, Social, Occupational, and Spiritual. This event gives employees an exciting opportunity to learn valuable information directly from our health and wellness vendors.
We chose to offer the Live Well Benefits & Wellness Fair virtually again this year due to the on-going COVID-19 pandemic. While we cannot be together in person this year, we hope this event’s interactive activities allow employees to continue to feel part of a strong team.
Employees are encouraged to attend this year’s Live Well Benefits & Wellness Fair for several reasons. You will be able to interact one-on-one with vendors directly and have your questions answered. This is an excellent opportunity to ask Aetna, Delta Dental, and Superior Vision, among others, your specific insurance and coverage related questions. You will also be one of the first employees to learn about upcoming changes to our wellness program and incentives. And if that wasn’t enough incentive, there will be a leaderboard and scavenger hunt available for employees to earn points and prizes! Let’s not forget that this event can count as an additional activity towards your wellness credit for 2023 – 2024 benefits year!
You can click here to see the agenda for this event. Additionally, the agenda is posted in the Lobby by clicking on “breakout sessions”, in the Employee Lounge by clicking on the “2022 fair banner”, or in the blue bar across to top of the website.

The leaderboard allows employees to earn points by visiting booths, engaging, and chatting with vendor representatives, viewing, and downloading booth documents, watching a booth video, etc. There are several ways to earn points during this event. By clicking on the Leaderboard tab in the Employee Lounge or on the blue bar at the top of your screen, you will be able to see the top 50 employees. Earn points to be entered to win prizes! The top 10 employees on the leaderboard, at the end of the event, will win a special prize. These prizes may include a neck massage pillow, smart scale, electric toothbrush, encouraging hydracy water bottle or a weighted blanket! Employees ranked 11-50 on the leaderboard will receive a Live Well item.
All employees are eligible to participate in the scavenger hunt. Simply look for the yellow bull’s head (part of the Live Well logo) throughout the event. Click on the hidden logo to earn eligible points
